Passive House meets affordable housing in New York City. Morris Avenue Apartments features INTUS Eforte triple pane steel reinforced polymer turn windows and it’s set to achieve PHIUS and LEED Silver certifications. Morris II is a post-war rental building in The Bronx’s Melrose neighborhood, finished in 2019. The building rises 7 stories and has 150 units, 46 of which are reserved for formerly homeless tenants as part of NYC’s Our Space program. Spaceworks operates the ground floor which serves as a 4,300 SF community facility and affordable studio and gallery space for local artists. At the time of completion it’s North America’s largest certified passive house 

 

Another successful energy efficient and affordable building made possible by a public private partnership and $67.71 million in investment, including $28.57 million in tax credit equity.
