INTUS Double Pane Windows
About this Project
The town of East Hampton, Connecticut is finally getting a new town hall and police station. This energy efficient building will have large windows with a view of a stand of trees that will be planted in front. INTUS Arcade fixed double pane windows are throughout this 33,00 SF project and help create a sustainable structure for the town to use for many decades to come.
This $18.9 million building project will have a 20,000 SF town hall building, 10,000 SF police station, the Board of Education and Recreation Departments, and will be 2 stories on a 5.4 acre parcel of land. The ground-breaking ceremony of East Hampton Town Hall and Police station was attended by current officers who are highly anticipating more space for booking, a sally port, armory, offices, and an additional locker room for female officers. The building will also help get the town up to date with the American Disabilities Act (INTUS windows are all in accordance with ADA requirements).
“A building is wood and nails, mortar and brick with some glass added for light. This particular building will be all that with the added infrastructure of the energy, perseverance and commitment of a community that believed in its need,” she said. “A community that knew we had long ago outgrown our current Town Hall and recognized the poor conditions we asked our town staff to work in.” – Town Council Chairwoman, Melissa H. Engel. This high profile project is a cornerstone of the community and INTUS is pleased to help create an energy efficient government building.
