INTUS Double Pane Windows & Storefronts
About this Project
INTUS Arcade storefronts, and tilt & turn double pane windows are throughout Frankford Apartments in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This co-living multi-family project in Fishtown is Common’s largest project to date. Taking a cue from the ever-growing co-working boom, Common creates densely packed housing where residents share kitchens and bathrooms. The 35,600 SF daylight-filled building will have 72 beds, fully-furnished shared lounges and large, shared kitchens, in-unit laundry facilities, bike storage, and an outdoor tree-lined terrace. There is also 4,281 SF of ground floor retail space. Rent is 30-35% less than a market rate one-bedroom in the area, yet again proving that daylight-filled, energy efficient buildings are possible to create on a budget.
“The first ground-up building, 72-bed Common Frankford in Fishtown, will open in early 2020 and will mark Common’s seventh market expansion in the US, in addition to operating in New York, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC.” – PR News Wire
“What we noticed in the early days is that there aren’t a lot of homes built with roommates in mind, yet a huge chunk of inventory in urban centers were being taken up by people with roommates,” says Hargreaves, who notes that one-quarter of households in New York City are “roommate households.” – Fortune.com
