52 New Street
52 New Street is a mid-rise affordable housing development located at 52 New St, Cambridge, MA 02138. Designed to meet Passive House standards, the project emphasizes energy efficiency and sustainability.
The building features INTUS triple-glazed windows with a glazing thickness of 48mm, utilizing both annealed and tempered glass types. These windows are installed using mounting brackets, ensuring superior thermal insulation and durability. The design achieves air infiltration rates of 0.1 cfm/ft², water penetration resistance of 9.19 psf, and a design pressure of ±60.15 psf. Sound performance ratings are STC 35 and OITC 28, contributing to a comfortable and quiet indoor environment.
